These terms are an agreement between you and Where We Are (“Where We Are,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the app and website. By using Where We Are, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The service
Where We Are is a private, shared travel calendar that lets you and the people you connect with see each other’s trips, home bases, and overlapping plans. It is provided free of charge and may change over time.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Where We Are.
- You sign in with Google. You’re responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure.
- You’re responsible for the activity on your account.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Where We Are only for its intended purpose. In particular, you will not:
- Add other people’s personal information (such as their phone number or flight details) without their consent.
- Use the service to harass, stalk, or harm anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access data you’re not authorized to see, or disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
Your content
You keep ownership of the trips, notes, and other content you add. You grant us the limited permission needed to host and display that content in order to operate the service and to share it with the people you choose, according to your settings. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to share it.
Flight and arrival information
Flight and arrival details are provided by third-party sources and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed. Don’t rely on them alone for time-critical decisions such as airport pickups — always confirm with the airline or the person travelling.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.
Disclaimers
Where We Are is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information in it is accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Where We Are will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed connections, pickups, or plans arising from your use of the service.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Where We Are at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the service.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
